I just recently bought some B&W 685's for the start of my home theater project. So now I'm in search of a receiver. For the time being I'm just going to run the two 685's until I can afford to get the 62 center channel and then the 686's for the surrounds. My budget is around 500-600 but...

Looking at picking up another ED NINe.1 amp to power a BTL. Now is it better to strap the NINe.1's together to power the sub or could I put one amp on each coil? And which ever way is better shouldn't I be getting a Dual 2 ohm version? Thanks

Thanks for the replys. As far as power I will be running an ed nine.1 so I'm thinking 1200-1300 watts depending on if the truck is running and how strong the electrical is.

First, what is a good idea on how much port area you should have per cubic foot? Some have said 10 but then some say 15. Is it more of a personal preference or will it make a big change? And would that be for the total box volume or what sub will see after all the displacements. Also what us...

Hmm, I think I may just end up trying them. They were speaking pretty good of them over on diymobileaudio and the 3.5" mounting depth is sounding really good. I could maybe get away with a factory door panel...maybe.
