is there any need to set the low pass filter on the head units sub output if its already set at the amp?

I'm kind of confused on whether I'm supposed to use the internal amplifier from the HU when setting your gains? and if i leave it on or off after im done? Also what do you guys set you High pass filter at on your HU for your rears and fronts?

Tried another head unit, still nothing coming out of the amp..... What voltage should be coming out of the rcas that are hooked up to the headunit?

I double checked the voltage coming out of the rca's and im only reading .025 volts @ the 2V setting, the next setting 200v reads nothing.

FWIW the amp is a hifonics bxi 608 I just checked the rca's and the amp outputs on the deck, both good......
