yep only one amp "jl 1000.1"

i have a 4 guage wire kit. so ill ask around for a 125 amp fuse. what exactly does the darn fuse do anyways? i thought the amp had its own fuses.... guy was trying to sell me some sort of battery to put next to the amp lol i say ill pass bud thanks anyways~

i traded my jl 500/1 for a jl 1000/1 yesterday, and i have blown 5 fuses in 1 day. the first few best buy gave me, 60s and then they told me to try an 80. I blew 3 of them afterwards. I have the jlw7 sub and the fuses only blow when I do a massive bass drop or try to make the subs really pound...

hmm well then it sounds like the guy at the sound shop didnt know a thing he was talking about, he was trying to say if the sub was 3 ohm and the amp was 1 ohm then for every ohm the amp has to go up to match the sub, the power is reduced by 1/2 . he was trying to tell me my sub was only...

I HAVE A JL 12W7 AND IM USING A JL 500.1 the sub is a 3 ohm 12w7 and the amp says its 500.1 at 1 ohm...... does that mean im only getting 1/3 of the power to my sub? so if i buy the 1000.1 its only going to give me 1/3 of the power? i dont understand this ohm stuff yet...... please help why...

and bam! looked at the amp, and the bass boost was all the way up, i turned it to 1/2 and it made a huuuge difference... thanks, will a 1000.1 double the proformance or just kick it up alittle........

well they told me that the "w cone" has nothing to do with the dust cover i cut. they said as long as its not under warranty than making the cut is an option. a cheap option at that. either way i still use the sub as if i didnt make a cut at all. and its obvious it hasnt made any difference to...
