also wonderin is it safe to buy an aftermarket head unit and run those two ohm speakers and the bose amp someone once said i could burn up the new head unit if i did is this a fact ?

what if i found a set of aftermarket 2 ohm componets and ran those of the stock head unit bose amp ?

I just bought a 2003 vw passat gl sedan with 1.8 turbo engine and i want to begin with a head unit replacment first . It has the monsoon sound system i think ? . I think the stock speakers are bose are they decent ? can they handle a amp and still sound good ? I was thinking of down the road...
