Side wheel well ported enclosure help

Okay so ive done a rough measurement of the side of the boot area in the car The deepest area is about 30cm along the bottom 40cm along the top as it curves over the wheel arch. Height wise in that area is about 40cm. Depth - I guess I can come outboard as much as needed but obviously not half...

Side wheel well ported enclosure help

Ah okay. Will keep that in mind when I come to building it. Guess it makes it easier as flat faces can give lots of cubes which is easier to measure? Would it be better to do this to calculate the correct volume that the sub requires and then see what port size is needed?

Side wheel well ported enclosure help

Hi I'll be making it out of fibreglass and wood I guess so that I can replicate the shape around the wheel arch on the side of the trunk area. It's for a VW golf MK2

    New system advice

Hi All Im looking to update my system in my car and have decided on the Audision SR 4.500 amp. Seems to have good specs and the size is pretty small for a stealth install. The next part would be to decide on a set of components for the front. They need to be 13cm/5.25" to fit the stock...

    Headunit-less Install options?

Yes but they would be limited to the max volume of the phone, Unless from what I understand they then have a pre-amp built in to increase the volume? So for example, I connected one of those bluetooth modules to my home hifi amp, the volume control on the bluetooth maxed out the volume of the...

    Headunit-less Install options?

Yes I get that. It will control the master volume of the bluetooth connected device. But it would be limited to the output of it. Just as your dongle connected to your headphones, They will be limited to the volume capacity of what the source can get to that you have paired to it. So in my case...

    Headunit-less Install options?

Lol I thought so too. But when I enquired about the NVX XUBT3 module, I was told that the volume functionality will only control the bluetooth device. Sorry for my dumbness around it but I assumed the same for the Metra and Memphis modules. I understand that for sure, But your JBL Flip4 has an...

Ive actually seen this Memphis module: https://www.memphiscaraudio.com/product-page/mxabtrk-rocker-switch-bluetooth-controller Would be great but the volume only controls the bluetooth device and not the amps I saw this Metra one aswell but same issue with that...

    Headunit-less Install options?

Yea I saw a few marine options but most look abit too much aftermarket to have a stealth installation Do you know if the volume knob on this controls the volume of the bluetooth connected device or does it control the volume of the preamp/DAC? Thanks

    Headunit-less Install options?

Yes this will work, but volume control would be from the Bluetooth device

    Headunit-less Install options?

But what about the amps that come with a pluggable remote knob? Are they not adjusting the volume as such? Or is it that full volume control would only come with a pre-amp device as you said? Could I use one of them volume knobs that connect inbetween the source and the amp via RCA? Are the...
