I have a usacoustics 4085 and a hifonics 1000D hooked up to my panasonic deck, and it seems when i adjust the xovers on the amps they dont really do much. as part of the frequencies out of range are still being played. For example, i would turn my sub sonic filter to 35 hz... and play a 5 hz...

will priming the box with automotive primer damage it?

well i sold my current setup and i would like to use my new sub with my old amp until the new amp comes on monday. however this amp isnt 1 ohm stable and the sub is 2 ohm DVC. so i was wonering if i could somehow use only one VC on the sub in the meantime so i will have some bass in my car...

the ONLY reason a protection mode light would show on a us acoustics amp would be when the fuse on the amp blows up. or so they claim. the light is only there for that purpose.
