I designed a 4th order for two 15s and went with a 3:1 ratio. I'm working with 6ft3 sealed and 18ftft3 ported. My main question is about port area, I originally was going with 15sqin for ever cubic foot of ported section, but then saw someone mention something about the port needing to be half...

I'm really limited on space and know the less ports the better but four 4" ports would work too correct?

My box consist of 5.25ft3 and I'm going with 9in2 per cub. Port area came out to 47.25in2 so that means I'd need at least two 6" aeroports correct? Thanks in advance for the help, just need some confirmation or criticism before I order the ports

Thanks jeff. Looks like I'll have to go against the manufacture specs based on what you said. The box is for a 12" massive gtx 122

I've built simple sealed enclosures but am having a little trouble figuring out the port length of a new build. For ported enclosures this is what the manufacturer recommends: 14"H x 16"D x 16"W / 14.05 sq. in. Port Area. Correct me if I'm wrong, those are inside deminsions im assuming...
