That's what I'm thinking too. I took the cover plate off to see if I could smell or see anything burnt up. It didn't appear to be, but that doesn't really mean much tho. It's trash now.

Just purchased a bazooka amp (BA 1500) & a 12" kicker L5 used. When I hook up the power & the ground for the amp it will automatically go into protection mode. After a little time thinking on it, I decided to unhook the sub from the amp to see if that changed anything. The only difference is...

Ok, so I got to thinking about it & decided that having the sub connected to the amp might have something to do with it going into protection. I disconnected it & tried again. Now it shows operation mode for about 5-8 seconds, then goes into protection mode again. Hopefully someone has an idea...
