It's one of the cheapest brands you could ever buy. They didn't join forces, it's a knockoff. It's a brand that some company came up with that they can sell at stores like walmart and places like that. It ranks right up there with rampage if you know what that is.

Yes, you need a capacitor. Your amp isn't getting enough power and it is shutting itself off.

one 4 gauge cable should be enough. you might need a capacitor but 4 gauge will definately be enough.

If you are looking in that range you could put a really decent system in your car. Don't get anything competition level otherwise you will go through your money quick. I just priced out an alpine system with solobaric subs and it is going to cost around 2000 dollars. Get good equipment nothing...
