He said (in the TR thread) that you claimed a $349 10" Sub would beat the JL. What sub were you referring to? Seems like you might have bitten off more than you can chew IMO.

I just purchased a used Directed D2205. It didn't come with a remote bass knob though. Will other brand bass knobs work for it, or does it have to be a specific Directed brand?

I've witnessed him do 164 on his old setup. This new setup is even louder. That was sealed up, mic on dash. I watched him break a meter at a smaller show. I have yet to see him lose a competition he enters. Granted his old setup had him in a lower power bracket. Still effing loud.

Current setup meaning current box, and everything. I don't want to port it. I would like to keep it small. Space is a precious commodity in a Wrangler.

I was just curious as to whether or not I could get more sound out of a different 10" subwoofer in my current setup.

I have yet to hear of a case of a headunit blowing aftermarket speakers on it's own power.
