x693 and x993 charges iPod while plugged into the headunit WITHOUT and adapter. Just use the cable that came with your iPod.

x993 can stream stere BT audio. Works great, very nice deck.

yeah, if that didn't work, then your deck has a problem. I would exchange it. Also, Never had problem with the control know being pushed in.

to the person who pays $500+ for door speakers I pitty you. Go buy some Magnepans and sit on you couch, it'll be a hell of a lot more enjoyable than spending 4k on a car stereo. Where there will always be road noise, wind noise, and very bad acoustics.

its not about equipment, it's about setup. Don't waste your money just for peace of mind.
