thanks for the great advice - wha't would be the pro or con to getting that 2ohm sub instead of the 4ohm - will it sound any different? cuz i don't know if i would get another sub that 1 12inch sub is good enuf i think - 2 won't make a lot of difference

so if i got the type r 12 inch and the mrd-m500 how would i wire it? 2 ohm or 4 ohm i'm confused about how to configure the dual voice coils - it's a 4 ohm sub but would it be 4ohm times 2 voice coils = 2 ohm? also what gauge wire should i get with this? for amp and power

so would that alpine amp be too much for the type r alpine maybe i should downsize to the m500 or even m300 - how many watts rms would this sub need even though it's rated at 300 watts rms at 4 ohms

money = my limit my friend works at ultimate electronics and i can get reallly good deals there - they get everything at cost price which is dirt cheap

so what is my biggest bottleneck with my current setup - the punch III subwoofer? or the overpriced amp. Remember though - i can get both for a total of about 250 dollars.
