    Tweeter Placement?

Well I ended up having to install them in the doors. The factory tweeter locations where way to small for those tweeters. I probably could have made them stick in there with enough glue or epoxy or something like that, way too much work and I don't think I have the skills to pull it off...

    Tweeter Placement?

Its been way too long since I have done an install, and I forgot what to do here. I picked up a 1998 Dodge Ram truck. I ordered a DEH-X7500hd head unit, Morel Maximo 6 component set, box o' dynamat and I have an older Diamond Audio D3 400.2 amp to power them. I also bought some cheap Bostons...

Well I tried grounding the amp to about 3 different places in the trunk, also I grounded the amp to the same spot the factory amp grounds too. I hooked up a book shelf speaker to the amp with less than 2 feet of cable and it was still producing the noise. I did this with 2 different amps. I...

I haven't checked the ground on the 2nd battery in the trunk, its a ***** to get to, but I will check it out. I think I have came to the conclusion of just messing around with the ground some more and run a test line from the amp direct to the door speakers. Its got to be either the stock...

Would it be caused by the fact its getting power from the 2nd battery in the trunk? Maybe somehow its getting dirty power and its transferring to the output stage to the speaker wire outs? But yea I WILL run speaker wire outside the car and see what happens. I just cant see how the stock amp...

I threw this together, not sure if it will help things.

The amp is screwed into just a carpet covering the spare tire. No metal touching the amp at all, just carpet. And the feet on the amp are plastic, but still. Now if I pull ground on the amp the noise goes away. If I pull power or remote on the amp the noise goes away. It only makes noise if...

I am going to try this when I get time. But if it gets rid of the noise, what if it comes back after I run them IN the car? I guess that wouldn't happen though if I run them away from all other wires.

Your still having the same problem even after running new wires?? And yea mine mostly is coming from the tweeter too, its pretty high pitched. If you switch the L and R speaker outs on your amp does the noise change sides? Mine does. Just curious.

Thats my daughter... I will remove the picture, i forgot about all the useless tards on forums. Most people like kids. Although, before I had kids I didn't like kids, so I understand.

The stock amp still powers the other 5 speakers in the car, and is tied in to the rest of the navigation system lol. Why would I take it out? I think this is more of a power ground issue tbh. Like I have said a few times, this noise is produced no matter if there is anything plugged in to the...

The noise is produced with or without the RCA cables even plugged in. Its the stock 'headunit', again the wires are coming from a stock amp in the trunk, and how would a fuse be the issue? Just curious?

I get overwhelmed just thinking about this and how to describe the problem I am having... Been going on for weeks, and I am ready to kill someone. I have a 2006 Mercedes E350 sedan. It has the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 with Navigation. The stock amp is in the trunk, as well as a 2nd battery. In...
