I agree with the last post. I've personally had the 8444 and 8053 along with every other Eclipse deck produced in the last 10 yrs. I now have the 8445 and it is IMO the best deck Eclipse has put out to date. It ain't cheap, but they never were. I mean come on, 8 volt out, HD radio ready, SAT...

I have the 8445 and it is superb! As far as SQ goes, eclipse and alpine are at the top of the heap. I have been an Eclipse user for some 10 yrs or so and the 05 models are way better than last years. With the Eclipse 8445 you get: 8 volt pre-out........pretty **** close to rms. Excellent SQ...

I've used Eclipse HU's for many years and love them. However, I don't really care much for the new 2005 look. SQ is second to none. IMO even the low end models will simply blow away the high end competition. I myself am also considering the sony HU you mentioned. Bang for the buck you can't...

Here's the deal. I bought a new 9830 left over from a local dealer and installed it this past saturday. Nothing fancy. Comp's in the doors and sub in back. All running off Kicker 650.4 amp. Got the HU in and powered it up and everything was good. I started tweaking the XO's and EQ settings etc...
