The RE SE x are still a better overall sub over the CVR's. Even the newer line models are good, just not as good as the older RE stuff. The SE's are my favorite sub in their price range.

What subs will you be running with them? Also most of the amps up there are all 2000 peak max. You should look at the RMS ratings to get a better idea of the power needed.
