I didnt realize a blown sub could kil a amp or I would have just tossed them in the garbage and been done with it

I feel like crap now, I sold the guy this amp a few weeks back then he seen I had the subs for sale, I listed them as blown but he wanted to test them..... ****it

son of a *****. I just dont get why it kicked in for a little bit when we hooked it back to his subs then nothing....

But will a blown sub fry an amp? cause the amp is not powering good subs either now

here the deal I have 2 Kicker L7's that I thought were blown, one is definatly blown I can see that the voice coil is unwound. but the other visually looks ok and when you push on the cone it moves freely. but the problem is I had someone I know hook it to his amp and sound came out of it at low...

Any1 know much about these amp? Everytime I put it in a search nothing come's up, just curious about different output power bridged and so on.... dont know if Ill use t cause its pretty ugly, but still curious

and thats the problem around here any1 can say they know how.... but who do you trust? I called local car audio places and they all say they send the stuff in.... and dont know any1 that does it.

LoL I plan on getting the RE I guess my question was more are there other problems that could be wrong with the sub that a Recone will not fix? the recone kit is no big deal. I think Fi said around $120 its just finding someone locale that can do the recone cause I REALLY dont want to ship it...

I dont really know what im gonna do, I think the one might be ok, I pulled them out of the box and hooked them to home receiver and one seemed fine.... the other is blown for sure, I can see through the little screen between the basket and motor and the coil is unwound, im gonna hook to ok one...

Well I went to sell these cause I found a RE XXX 18" that needs a recone for $100 and wanted to buy it.... then I went to test these and they were shot so there went that idea. I also have 2 10" Kove subs, but no1 is interested in those cause one of the dustcovers is missing....

so basically a large paper weight? nice... oh well

Ok I know they do not make recone kits for L7's But is there any way of have the coil itself replaced or rewound? If so is it even worth it? these are older model L7's. being a moron I bought these and at the time had no way of testing and got screwed. was going to resell but Im not like some...

Any1 got an Idea of what to ask for the setup, I kow its older so dont have any idea
