well i started a practice ball tonight and found out that fiberglassing a ball is not that easy. the dam thing likes to roll around and gets slippery. gonna put another coat or two on it tomorrow and try to get it looking right.

it will probably be a while till i actually make the one i want. i think this weekend i might make a small version

but you would have to take the wood ball out and that would mean the mold would be in two pieces.

im thinking also about either molding on some smaller spheres to it for the mids and highs or having them connected separatly by some bent tubing somehow

and the sub will be showing

im basically gonna make the ball then cut the hole for the sub then fiberglass a mounting ring into it

its gonna be a few cubic feet inside. probably about the size of a large beach ball. and the way i plan to build it would make the inside also round with except for the flat area for the sub to mount, the bottom to keep it from rolling unless i use some sort of legs to have it off the ground...

sh!t i forgot this was the car section but whatever. i entend to use it in my house not my car. and its not gonna be a complete sphere its gonna have a flat bottom to keep from rollin. i just think it would look neat.

what ways could i go about doing this? the best way i can think of is to fiberglass around a beachball or something the same size and cut the parts out to fit the sub. you guys got any other ideas.
