2-4ohm DVC subs= 1ohm the sub channel is stable at 1ohm. thats what maxed means. the stock alternator just ain't strong enough. its only 105 amps, with the amp cranking and the rest of the electronics running, there just isn't enough juice to go around.

finally got my big belle maxed on the sub channel with my new Sundown audio SD-2 10's. this is the first time i have had it maxed since i got it back in 08'. lets just say that the stock alternator without the big three upgrade(yet).wont handle it. the amp goes into protect mode.....oh well time...

ok each sub is 500rms. i think i should have know that. when all is said and done i do plan on maxing out the 5th channel of my memphis belle 1300. the sub channel maxes at 1100x1@1ohm. judging by what you are saying. i should stick with the .5 recommended airspace. thanks

if i go bigger than the recommended airspace is there any drawbacks? not much bigger, thinking from .5 to .6ish. this is for sundown SD-210's

nope i have no idea but from the way you guys sound skar audio is off the list. i currently have a pair of infinity kappa perfect 10's that are gettin old. how do the sundowns compare to the infinity? i know three will be louder but compare the sound of two.
