    Bass track thread!

Oh right, my bad Doug. You're right, I am a dipshit. I think what happened was that I had neglected to consider how much you were enjoying this topic. I mean, we all know just how riveting it is to list a bunch of rap songs which have bass. I sure as hell know that it always gets my heart...

    Bass track thread!

I think what it boils down to is that there are a ton of songs out there with mad crazy bass. Anyone with an eq can make any song pound, if they know what they're doing.

    What if...

I was thinking, and it may seem completely absurd, but what if I were to use some high-performance, home theatre subs rather than conventional car subs. Provided they fit and all, I mean, why not?

    Jl W7 10 inch

The top five SPL subs, I think, are: RE XXX TREO CSX SI Magnum D2 Kicker MMATS Juggernaut Just my subjective opinion, seeing as how I've not heard any of these.

    Anyone know...

I was kind of just wondering. One of the things I like best about subs is watching that excursion. Like, I have this one song that has the most wicked bass I've heard of all the songs I know, and it's just so beautiful watching that woofer...

    Anyone know...

if that Treo CSX's xmax, being 2.81 inches, is one-way or peak-to-peak?

    Really quick question

Who has the better "track-record", Pioneer or Kenwood? Further, who's better (ideally) now?

    Sealed vs Ported

Earlier today, I was told by a man working for a car audio store (Big Apple Audio) that porting an enclosure only adds a few dB. Now, I was under the impression that a sealed enclosure was for higher volumes (SQ?) and ported ones brought forth more bass (SPL?). Anyone clarify?

Jug vs eD A vs RE XXX

Just so I answer an ealier question, it'd be a daily driver. Probably, I'd be sending about 1600watts to it, RMS. So, to introduce yet another question: does the driver with the highest xmax generally mean more SPL? Or, would less xmax but more power equate to (my ultimate goal) the deepest...

Jug vs eD A vs RE XXX

What about the XXX 18"? I mean, granted it's got a few inches extra, but still. And for any clarification, I gotta have the hardest hitting sub [without costing $5000 and such], if I have to throw 2000watts at it, whatever, and I don't want it to be 100% distortion. The biggest box would be...

Jug vs eD A vs RE XXX

If anyone knows of any other subs that top those in the thump department, by all means speak up. I just knew those to be, at the very least, up there in the ranks. Like, what about those SI Magnum D2's, I heard those thump with the best of 'em.

Jug vs eD A vs RE XXX

which is gonna out-pound which? for argument's sake, say they're all 15's. oh, running like 1200watts on a good amp, and in a decent ported box.

All I can say is: holy. ****.

Has anyone seen this? http://www.termpro.com/showcars/terminator/terminator.html I mean honestly, how greedy can a guy get? Three, not one, but three 24" subs. Now that's just not fair

    A trivial question, I suppose.

What advantage does a 3-way comp have over a 2-way?
