If it wasn't charging the battery properly, then the guy would never be able to start his car. Check to make sure you don't have any lightbulbs on, etc -- like the light in the trunk may always be on. You most likely just have a parasitic drain like mentioned above Also bust out a DMM and look...

Any thoughts? He has a W7. The equalizer on the HU shows output, the amp turns on just fine, but the sub has no output. He said that when he started his car (after this whole thing started), the sub went "thump" -- I told him to check his RCA's and grounds, any other ideas?

Big 3 doesn't cause voltage drop unless you did something wrong. The point of the Big 3 is to reduce voltage drop
