These subs aren't bad for that price compared to other 1K watts subs. I don't know if they're underrated but they take my SQ2200 just fine.

I would think port rear would sound better if you had enough room. Other than sub placement I think it looks OK.

The reason you can't wire different ohm subwoofers is because the will recieve different amounts of power. If these subwoofers are in the box there will be some cancellation issues and other things. These pictures are just to give you an idea

There could be something wrong with the amp. How do you have it wired? How did you set your gains?

I don't think there would be much of an audible difference between those two amps, and you can't really expect much out of one 10. What kind of box do you have it in?

The minimum impedance for the kicker DX500.1 is 2ohm

What is your new ohm load now that you have added the subwoofer? What is the lowest ohm load your amp can go? What was your voltage drop ? Edit- Sorry I read your question wrong
