    Where to Dampen... and why

I did some reading up on deadening this past weekend looking for cheap alternatives for the "hobbiest" car audio guy. Seeing your posts it sounds like money is a big issue for you. Otherwise you'd just do every bit of metal. You should look into the cheap alternatives like a 100 sq. ft roll...

    Wasted HU Power

IAMDeMan just go away already. Regardless if your advice is good or not you have zero tact and sound like a douchebag. When your reply starts off why "Hey Sparky" the rest of your post just goes out the window. You draw conclusions about me and have no idea what my thought process was or the...

    Wasted HU Power

Thanks for that. I probably shouldn't feed the trolls but 22k posts and a reply like that? Wow. I have a good idea of what I'm going to do. Thanks for those that replied in a serious matter.

    Wasted HU Power

Yeah I also read this forum isn't doing so hot. Perhaps it's from 22k posters like yourself treating noobs like this?

    Wasted HU Power

Ok so using all 22W RMS x 4 of the HU isn't happening... So I'm on the right track using 200 x 2 for my front stage comps and then HU power for the rear coax? Everything I've heard so far is Front Stage >>>>>>>> All other speakers. Thanks for those that replied. P.S...

    Wasted HU Power

I just bought a 4 channel amp which will power some front comps and rear coax. Initially I figured I would just run the 85W RMS x 4 into each speaker and be done. This would in turn make my 22W RMS x 4 HU power wasted... Right now I'm leaning towards bridging the 4 channel down to 2 channels...

    WTB 4 Ch Amp, 6.5 Comps, 5.25 mids/coaxs for 2002 WRX

Last Bump. Only think I need now is 5.25" coax. They need to handle 85w RMS @ 4ohms. Bought a Zed 85W x 4 @ 4 ohms RMS amp Looks like I'm buying some CDT 6.5" Comps from Mike @ Vertex Audio. If that falls through I'll probably buy some Pioneer 1720 D series off fleabay. Thanks to those...

    WTB 4 Ch Amp, 6.5 Comps, 5.25 mids/coaxs for 2002 WRX

I think I've found a amp. I still need 6.5" components (NOTE NOT 5.25"). THESE COMPS CANNOT BE MORE THAN 2.92" TOP MOUNT DEPTH. And I've decided to go with 5.25" coax for the rear. Depth don't matter here but they cannot be bigger than 5.25". Let me know if you got anything? I don't want...

    WTB 4 Ch Amp, 6.5 Comps, 5.25 mids/coaxs for 2002 WRX

Which amps would those be? I'll research this and let you know. I was wanting like 80+RMS x4 @ 4ohms, but I know some watts doesnt' mean everything...

    WTB 4 Ch Amp, 6.5 Comps, 5.25 mids/coaxs for 2002 WRX

I'm looking to replace the factory stuff on my 2002 WRX. My existing setup is: Kenwood X993 HU Kicker 10" L3 with ZX250.1 As you can see I'm not into the high end crazy competition stuff. This is a daily driver and I just want it to sound good and look as stock as possible. Space is...

    Sonixelectronix = douchebags

They might be a great site. And yes you are 100% right I know nothing about them. What I do know is that's a typical bait and switch technique. It's poor business practice.

How much skill needed to repaint your own vehicle?

This is the 100% correct. And if you want it to look really good color sanding and buffing takes 40+ hours for a proper job. If you are even remotely anal don't even think about painting your own vehicle. Let a pro do it right the first time and be done with it.
