Can you point me in the direction of a Polk 12 that will match up with a Punch 300 and hit as hard for rock as a P2?

I am getting a great deal on a Punch 300.1 amp and have decided to get 1 12" RF sub for my trunk. I can get a RF P2 12 for $98.00 or a P3 12 for $149.99. Will the Punch 300.1 power either one well? Also, is it true that since I listen to rock/metal music only that 1 sub is best?

Would a Punch 300.1 run a mm1540 well? I might grab one since I can get a Punch 300.1 so cheap.

OK, if my heart is set on 1 12" Alpine Type R, what are you thoughts of running a RF Power T600 at it. I just read that some were getting close to 800 W mono out of it. Would this damage the Type R or slam it? I can get a new one for $210.00 that is why I am asking.

OK thanks, I thought most things I read rated the Punch 300 at a lot more output than the R500.

What Rockford can put that much power out to 1 sub?

Yeh, I will do that for sure. So far, here is what I am thinking, do you think this amp will power the sub well enough? RF Punch 300.1 1 12" Alpine Type R SWR I could go with the Alpine MRP-M500 but it is $35.00 more than the RF amp. I could also go with a RF R500, but I have not read much...
