I can vouch for Audiopipe. I have the 15001d and it rocks. I did have a problem with one after about 6 months and they sent me a brand new amp no questions asked. They stand behind their products!

I had one of those converters a long time ago with a similar problem. I would bench test the amp without the converter. Could be a short in the converter or connections to the converter which would affect the rest of your electrical system seeing that a stock radio is tied into the stock...

What about a Soundstream Rubicon 1600d? These can be bought for around $200 on fleabay. Is this any better than the above mentioned?
