got another look what i got thread

Very sweet! Let me know if you like it. I am thinking about getting those amps, too.

Is it worth running comps off head unit/

I would say wait. IMO it is not good to under power speakers. Just wait until you get a nice amp. The best things in life are worth waiting for.

    Wiring 2 amps

With just 2 amps you should be fine, but I would use a relay just to be safe. Don't want to burn out the remote turn on lead of your HU.

Is my goal viable? Amps, and HUs, and Speakers

Answers: a) You could use a 4CH amp and a mono or 2CH amp, or maybe even a 5 or 6 CH amp. But I am not sure if you could find one with 6CH inputs. Do you want a seperate EQ??? b)Yes, but it depends if you plan on using the crossover that comes with the seperates. Do you want a single amp...

    Ground Noise

Could also be coming from your sparkplug wires! Did they replace them?

    4 channel RCA

The problem is, there are no 2CH in and 4CH out RCA's, that is what the Y is for. A 4CH RCA has 4CH in and 4CH out.

    Baffel problem

You should definitely do what I suggested with the fiberglass. You can make it sealed to the MDF baffle and have a small sealed enclosure if that is what you would like. It is a really simple project that anyone can do. If you can read the directions for the resin, then you can do it. I did...

    4 channel RCA

Either way the answer is no. 1 channel is like just the front left. Front left and right is 2 channels. Not really sure why you would hook a 4 channel amp just up to a single channel.

    Baffel problem

Hmm, I guess I was thinking the wrong thing as well. Okay, those things are cheap, so ofcourse they are going to make noise. Find a tupperwear bowl that is around that size. Lay a light layer of fiberglass inside the bowl. Once the resin dries, pop it out of the bowl by twisting the bowl to...

    Baffel problem

If you go to his website you will see what he is talking about. I think you cut your baffles too small. Why did you make them a square? I would have used the old speaker pod and cut the baffle the same size. Just take the old speaker baffles and trace the outline on a piece of cardboard...

    Install question.

Most shops are over priced and they have 18 y/o punk kids working there that don't know D I C K!

    4 channel RCA

Actually no it wouldn't. He is asking if there is a set of RCA's that starts out a 2CH and ends in a 4CH, and the answer to this question is no. Either way you would have to get Y adaptors. The cheapest route is the run a single set of RCA's to the amp and then run the Y adaptors right there...

    Four 10's Box Dallas Area

Cat fight!!!!! Anyway, I agree with swimfreak26. A Fiberglass enclosure is alot more expensive then a MDF one. Only because of the time factor and time is money IMO! If someone will make you one for $150, I'd say go for it. Just remember, sometimes you get what you pay for.

is there a big difference in the volts of pre-outs?

Something else to think about is the maximum input your amp has. Not all amps can except an 8 volt input.
