Ouch. Even the V6 gets shitty mileage. I've got a buddy with a '95 with the 3.8 and he barely gets better mileage than I do with a 350 and a heavy foot. Do a full tune up, plugs, wires, fuel filter, throw a CAI on it and run a good injector cleaner through it.

Do it, she'll appreciate it, and you can use the deed as leverage whenever needed

Don't forget that the tank in that Mustang is probably double the size of yours. If any Mustang (I don't consider the 4 cyl or V6 model a real Mustang) ever got better mpg than a Civic, I'd be a little worried, or there's something seriously wrong with the Honda.

Well '99 is when The Silverado went to the new body style, not sure about the Suburbans. '88-'98 Silverado's are all the same as well, so that opens up a few more years for you.

It's a '94? I didn't think that body style came with those headlights. My '92 Silverado and my buddies '94 Suburban both use the newer style lights. Anyways, if it actually is a '94, then all you should need is the grill, lights and wiriring. All Silverado's and Suburban's of that body style...

I've sold the first kit you listed at work quite a bit. Not sure how well it actually works, but I haven't had anyone come back and complain yet. You can pick it up at Canadian Tire for $15.
