that is what you run into with those custom boxes for the back of trucks. the only people that make good ones for it want $500 for the box. $700 was for the subs, amp, and box. I could have saved probably $100 or more on that site (i've probably spent 10 hours looking at that site before...

he said he would do that exact thing for me since I just spent $700 in his shop. I'm glad that is all it was.

I went to see the guy and it was the enclosure. He says it needs reinforced. It is one of those cheaply made boxes. He would put pressure with his hand on one of the seams on the box and the rattling sound would stop.

its a custom fit box. i'm not sure what company it is from. the guy that installed everything ordered it. i'm about to go talk to him and see if he can give me some advice. as for the equipment, he recommended almani. he said they were a new company, but made pretty decent stuff for the price.

what would you recommend putting in? I've already spent $700 on my setup and I'm kinda wishing I would have just left well enough alone.

What amp or at least how big of an amp would you recommend for 2 12" Infinity Kappas. They are 1400 max/350 RMS

you know, i was looking at Infinity Kappa 12"s, not the Perfects they don't fit. They aren't really shallow mount, but their depth is 5" which will fit in my box. My main problem isn't mounting depth for most subs it is recommended box volume. Kicker CVT's will fit, but they need a big box...

That is a nice setup! Is that a crew cab or extended cab and what year? It looks like you have more room under your seats than I have. The new models barely have room for anything. The Kappa Perfects won't fit in any of the enclosures I have looked at.

what amp would you guys recommend if i get two 4 ohm shallow mount pioneers that put out 350 RMS a piece?

a blowthrough would be pretty awesome I could just put a box on the seats, but that would be a pretty big waste of about five grand for the extended cab truck. the space is just so cramped under that seat.

I'd love the Kicker CVT and it fits depth wise, but it is recommended to have 1.0-4.6 cu. ft of air. My enclosure will likely have between .55 and .7 I might just do that. The lack of air space is still a problem with 10"s, but not as big of one.

I have a new Silverado and the space behind the rear seats is tiny. It is a lot smaller than the last model even. I have found a few places that have boxes designed for 12"s, but the only 12"s that will work because of mounting depth and/or recommended air volume are the shallow mount Pioneer...

I was wondering what amp people recommend for two Kicker VT Comp subs? I'm not going to be powering aftermarket door speakers, but I will probably do that later so that is a consideration when I buy an amp?
