    Review: Ipod inside Sony DSX-S200X

This is the middle of the 3 ipod inside headunits sony makes. This one has 4 lines of text which is nice. The bottom of the line has only one. The top of the line is like this one with bluetooth and better iphone integration. If I had an iphone which I wanted to play music from I would...

"Tic" nosie with Dayton Audio 8" low power sub

its a poly coated paper cone Dayton Audio SD215A-88 8" DVC Subwoofer 295-484 no low pass filter on that I know of. Not sure if it is low or high (would it be high pass filter for the sub channel?) whatever setting on the amp, like I said I have it so that the most frequencies come through as...

"Tic" nosie with Dayton Audio 8" low power sub

This makes sense maybe *(I wouldn't know, but I can evaluate things logically) because the tick is there even at low volumes? How sealed should the box be? I used some caulk around the woofer itself. On the back there is a plate that has not been sealed with caulk, could that make the difference?

"Tic" nosie with Dayton Audio 8" low power sub

I just got a Dayton SD215A-88 8" DVC subwoofer rated at 80 W rms, 120 w max from parts express. I have it hooked up to the sub channel on my Eclipse 3650 5 channel amp, which is also 120 watts at 4 ohms. The sub is wired in parallel so it should be at 4 ohms too. It is in a small wedge shaped...

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

Cool, setup sounds pretty good. People complain about the highs being too sharp and piercing with those Focals. I EQed the high end down a little and they sound great at high volume (obviously no bass tones). My old rockford fosgate punch 15" sounds pretty good hooked up to that amp even if...

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

I see I see. Well just dropped in the headunit. Really sounds pretty good. Apparently the fronts are Focal Access 100s which are pretty **** nice. Amazon.com: Focal Access 100 CA1 4-Inch Coaxial Speaker Kit: Car Electronics should have looked first. Looks like I am already set. I am...

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

I have home speaker that are worth maybe $200 but sound as good if not better then some $500-$1000 setups. I am of the belief that it can be done. They are vintage ADS speakers by the way...

Worth wiring 4" fronts to an amp? upgrade rear 6x9 or front 4"???

I have an Eclipse 3650 amp, specs for which are: Is it worth wiring such an amp to something like this in the front: Newegg.com - Infinity Kappa 42.9i 4&#34 150W 2 Way Car Audio Speakers Also, should I upgrade the front 4" with something like the ones in the link, or the rears first? I...

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

I don't think bigger will fit. These any good? Newegg.com - Infinity Kappa 42.9i 4&#34 150W 2 Way Car Audio Speakers Is it worth it to wire the amp to the front for 4" speakers?

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

So, is it worth the effort to wire the amp (in the trunk) to the front speakers of can the headunit provide adequate power for the 4"s? Hows this: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_065SE45/Boston-Acoustics-SE45.html?tp=102 or this...

Decent cheap speaker setup for my '89 Saab 900. Prefer stock bolt-on fitment

I listen to hip hop, jazz/vocal, rock, and electronic mostly. I have had a "15 rockford fosgate punch running with stock speakers in different cars, at one point with 2,000 watts going through it. I am over the ridiculous "disconnected" sounding bass that you get from a sub so I do not plan to...
