I just installed 2 pioneer 5-way 6x9 speakers with a power acoustic GT2-900 that gives them 135 watts @ 4 ohms. The speakers are 100 rms and 600 max so they should be fine. I installed everything and when I turned my car on, there was a constant static that increased when I pressed the gas as...
I have 2 Alpine a Type R's rate at 750 RMS and 2,000 peak a piece. I just blew a Hifonics Amp (still not sure why) so I'm looking for a good amp to power these. Preferable under 400$, if it's a little more but worth the money id buy it.
Over 12 with the car turned OFF. and how would that kill the amp? I don't understand why the amp would turn on and glow. And when I plug the bass knob in it gives the subs a little bit of power.
Just checked the subs. They aren't blown. So the problem lies within my amp I believe. It still turns on and lights up but no power from it. It is receiving signal fine. My ground wire is only 4 gauge, but it is not very long- that's the only other problem I can think it could be.
750 rms on the subs. 2000 watt peak. The amp is pushing 2200 @ 1 ohm so each sub should be getting about 1100 watt. And 40 volume level which isn't too awful high.
I have 2 Alpine Type R 15's powered by a Hifonics Gladiator 2200 watt amp. They were playing great for about a week. They were playing great and I went to show a friend and kept it at about 40/62 volume for a while and all of the sudden it went static and shut off. The amp was still lit up and...
