What should the hpf setting be? I feel like this is definitely the issue I just can't find the right setting for hpf and subwoofer control. Even when I messed with those settings and put it high up to 200hz I still just have a light hum coming from my sub although it did seem that some bass may...

my head unit is a pioneer deh-150mp. Is a high pass filter like an attachment or just a setting on the headunit?

I figured that but thought it would still be enough to power the amp. It's only 350 w at 4 ohms for the sub channel. It is 2000 w max though. So I will try hooking the head unit up to this battery and the amp to another battery with a full charge and let yall know how that turns out

It's just evident with the sound, movement, etc. The speakers are not in enclosures but the subs are. What is a high pass filter? I'm very new to this.

The amp is getting about 9.5 or 10v according to my multimeter. Do you think that's too low?

It is a pioneer gm-d9605. It has the rca for the sub channel pretty clearly listed. But I will try. I might try taking another battery and have one power my head unit and the other power the amp.

I am bench testing my setup in my room. My setup is a pioneer head unit wired to two Sony xplod in door speakers. (just left front positive and negative) and same with the right. Then I have the red and yellow wire for the head unit twisted together and go to the positive post of the car...

    Pioneer head unit compatability

    Pioneer head unit compatability

I just noticed that my pioneer head units booklet says that "when speaker output is used by 4 channels, use speakers over 50w and from 4 to 8 ohms. Do not use 1 to 3 ohm speakers for this unit." I have wired my head unit in the standard wire to wire sense. I was planning on running the...

    In home setup

Hi, I am wanting to test some stuff before I install/sell and I would like to do so in the house. I understand that hooking up a car battery charger isn't the best idea because a charging battery will emit hydrogen gas. However, due to the fact that I'm not trying to consistently run a system...

    Noob Sub and Amp Help

Great! So my thinking was correct then except for the 650 w max out of that channel it would be 350 to the sub. In that case. Would it be safe to test my subs with said amp? And then I can sell it and get your recommendation. Thanks so much.

    Noob Sub and Amp Help

Hi, I have recently acquired 4 kicker 12 inch subs model 10c124. They are 4 ohms. Their power handling is 50-150 w rms with a peak of 300. I also got a pioneer amp that I had originally planned on selling but may use to at least test the subs. It is a pioneer gm-d9605. This is a multichannel...
