I discovered Vacuum tube amplifiers recently, the warm distortion sound. Has anyone heard them installed in a car? I would love to hear these tube amps. I know that at one time Butler made them but at a big price. They, home or car, are all expensive. If anybody has one for sale let me know please.

You could use a male connector and connect it that way. Or like the saying goes-there is a thousand ways to make hot water. The only right way is what you decide it to be. One wayt is you cut the insulation back on both pieces of wire exposing atleast half an inch a piece. Cut a piece of heat...

I think its in the wiring. Maybe speaker wire, pos and neg, is touching. The one thing yuo never mintioned that you never replaced. To definately find problem you must start with first item in you chain of you adio system.
