I have them wired in parrall for a 1 ohm load. Not sure how to explain it to u but there are a lot of sites that show u how, i think http://www.rockfordfosgate.com,and http://www.jlaudio.com both have wiring diagrams.

yea my hx2's also pound there ass off, but ive never heard any L5's so i cant really say which would be louder. As far as them fallin apart, my hx2's are being overpowered a little bit by tha jbl but sound to me like they could take more.

Blaupunkt makes a class t amp u could look at that is pretty small, not sure if its small enough for ur install but u clould take a look at it.

Right now ive got them in a sealed box and they slam pretty hard. But if u put them in a ported box they could put out some pretty decent numbers for the price. I plan on getting a ported box one day, not sure when that will be tho. I would definately recommend them if u wont good spl for a not...

For tha price they are very decent subs. Heard two of the 10's in tha back of a blazer and they sounded very good runnin off a kicker amp(not sure of the model, think it was a zr240 maybe or sumthing around that)

Would a JBL 1200 be too much power for 2 12" type r's in about a 2.65 cubs per chamber ported box? Is that box a little to big?

Where did u find a subsonicfilter for 20bucks?

I would go for the he's, they will put out more spl but probably wont have quite as good sq as the type s's will, but will sound way better than ur z's
