    High Output 12"

I currently have a 15" HD3 in a box ported to ~30hz getting about 2k watts. This thing really shines on the lows but I've got no trunk space left. I would like to downsize to a 12" while keeping similar performance but wonder what driver would be the best fit. I realize I'll be giving up some...

    Need 2k Watts

I am looking for a aprox 2k watts @1 ohm amp that is farily inexpensive. Preferred budget is $300 but it is pretty flexable. Right now I will only be powering a single HDC3 15" but want to have headroom and the ability to upgrade etc.... Also, I am open to other less powered amps if they pair...

Curious what kind of box you think this would work best in?

    Still Dimming

Planned to today alas rain. Might need to wait until tomorrow as I'm not going to peg the DBs in my garage.

    Still Dimming

Headlights are dim at idle without music. Dimmer yet with music.

    Still Dimming

I know the headlights increase because the alt puts out more at higher rpm I just wondered if it should seem so dramatic or if something else was at play. I bought the 1/0 big 3 kit from a well known seller here on CA.com. The wires are crimped using a hydro crimper.

    Still Dimming

I've recently upgraded my electrical system because mainly because I needed a new battery. I killed the last battery or it was simply old so I took the opportunity to upgrade things. I got a high output alt, did the big 3 and got the biggest AGM bat that fit under the hood. This clearly...

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

Jacob, Thank you for the thoughtful answer(s), even if slightly off topic. I'd like to follow-up. I would ask who the target market is for your flagship line but I think it might be more beneficial to ask who you see having the most success or being the happiest with your top product lines...

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

This is a big part of my calculus. I'm in my early 30s but I still like some slam, but my clubs have to to fit in the trunk. This limits my options to 2 10"s or 1 12" or 1 15". I also like the point about ground pounders. I really like the idea of having a ground pounder, though my...

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

Good points all. I am a quality guy in many aspects of life. I save to purchase quality: furniture, clothes, shoes, watches etc. It is easier to judge the relative benefits of thing like shoes when you can handle both simultaniously. Such is not the case with subs, I can't demo them...

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

I guess we know there are only two variables: Cone Area, XMAX. So unless the XMAX is 2X greater on the NS then the 2 SAs would out do it.

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

Ok, how about being helpful then. Maybe my assumption that 2 SA12 > 1 NS-12 is bad?

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

In part. Because, I assume that 2 SA-12s will out perform 1 NS-12. Why spend so much more on a super woofer when 2 lesser(but still good) woofers could do better? Perhaps space is the argument?

    Advantages of 'super' woofer

I was reading through the Sundown forum and began to wonder what the benefits of super woofers like the new ZV4 and X-12 are. Higher power handeling is one but that by itself is not a benenfit unless it allows the sub to get louder. What I struggle with is how 1 high buck 12" like a NS on 2500...
