need help with 3 way setup

ok that makes sense honestly I was going with taramps because there affordable and from what I can tell reliable. I do not have experience with tuning a 3 way sounds stage it would be my first time. but I have 5 years of satcom and radio tuning and repair experience and I own and am familiar...

Matt unfortunately I don't have factory tweeters on the dash just door speakers and rear cab this is the most basic of trucks. so I have to add them in using the pillars mounts or the door mounts pictured on my first post

need help with 3 way setup

I agree I've had 2- ways in every vehicle I've owned and they've sounded great. I just dont want too get down the road and wish I'd gone 3 way. especially when I'm buying enclosures at 150 a piece for the doors and pillars

need help with 3 way setup

the front stage is very lacking in the stock setup and I wanted a very full front stage I travel to job sites all over the US and spend a lot of time alone behind the wheel. I just want to get the most out of my music since I'm listening to so many hours of it. I've noticed that a lot of members...

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

Im maxed out at 1.8 cuft without modification of truck or building molded two cab shape. I've noticed the same thing definitely the lack of air space hindering single cab owners. But it's the price you pay for single cab sexyness lol

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

I'm not gonna lie I went sealed because I don't know enough to make a ported box 😆 plus it's just easier. I'm tempted to pay someone to build a box for me honestly. I travel for work so I spend way to much time in my truck and the stock system is killing me so I figured go big or go home at...

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

That is super clean it's going to look great. yeah when ford makes a single cab they really take small footprint to heart. I would go the same route as you if I didn't need the center seat. I'm thinking of ordering sheets of 3/4 baltic birch for mine. moisture retention is a problem for me.

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

haha I'd love to run 8"s but I don't have the tools too cut the slots in the back of the box to accommodate the cab vents. although it did cross my mind to weld caps on them. it's a shame metal doesn't make a good box I could weld a box into the rear of the cab would be a whole lot easier.

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

that's what I'd normally go with but unfortunately I don't have the same avaliable space as the dodge cabs. my center doubles as a seat and the folding function gets in the way as well as two cab vents one behind each seat. I dont have a picture of my finished test box but here's one of my first...

help picking 6.5/7" subwoofers for sealed 1.8 cubic box

Thanks thats super helpful I was already leaning towards the meso's anyway but wanted some experienced input. this has been the most difficult build do to lack of space and wanting to keep my truck comfortable. Issues like cab vents on the back cab wall sticking out 3 inches on the center line...
