I would check out Pioneer.. For what I've heard Pioneer is better than both Kenwood and Clarion, and they've just released two bran new models. I've just ordered the DEH-P8600 (the new and improved version of the 9400), and I think it's gonna kick ass! But i guess you'll get a good hu of most...

It turns out the retailer couldn't get the alpine after all, so i guess i'm gonna wait for a while.. i still want the 940 more, but it's higher priced here, so i'm gonna think... so, it wasn't too late after all, huh

Pioneer only upgrade their top-models every other year, so i don't think there will be a new one until next year.. too bad, but i bet it's worth the wait...!

I'd go for the alpine. I'd also check out speakers from focal or dls, they're pretty big in europe. I've got dls speakers front and rear, and i think they're awesome! Genesis could maybe be a brand to consider when it comes to amps, and as for subs, i think dls ur-series are nice woofers...
