Stock alternator. Optima battery. Kenwood deck, it's a few years old but works fine. Alpine Type S speakers and a 1000w speaker amp. I'm not looking for anything over the top. Just a little bass. I'm not looking to move the seats or anything. Not into loud music anymore. Had my head rattled...

Kind of what I was thinking. The local stereo store(s) seem to think 8 is enough but I didn't know about that. Had to check with people I trust with these kind of questions. (you guys)

I am going to be wiring up a AQ1200d and Kenwood KAC-8405 (720W Max 4-Channel). Would I be okay running 8 gauge to both? It will only be like 3' at most from battery. (it is in my trunk)

I have a 2000 528i BMW (e39) and I was wondering what the speakers rms rating were? (if there is even a number for them). I have been looking around for awhile and I can't locate exact numbers. I just bought a Kenwood KAC-8405 ( 60x4 rms). All I know is that the deck alone isn't near enough...
