Well guys I tried regrounding the rcas at the hu for both my fronts and subs...problem solved...no more whine and it sounds much better. thansk a bunch guys. if anyone else has this problem try it, it was the only thing that fixed it for me.
I am using a Pioneer 6500mp...I will try re grouding the HU..I think this is the same as groudning the RCAs? I'll let you all know how it turns out, i can't take much more of this whine. thanks guys
I am having alternator whine and read in a previous post while searching that if i unplugged the rcas and the whine went away then the source of the whine could be my HU? is this true? i have checked everything else excpet for re-grounding the HU or simply putting a new HU in...thanks for any...
No, I'm prett sure you can bridge the amp. But because it's a 4 channel amp you will be pulling more current than if you went with a 2 channel. The 4 channel should work ok, just make sure the impedence matches.
Reinforcing would be a good idea. I would say go to a local car audio shop that sellsw higher end lines. look into infinity kappa perfects. although people say they can be 'bright' or 'harsh' it would be a good place to start.
Just to make sure i get this right. Instead of the speaker being mounted on the door pannel iw was mounted on the grill with a rubber surround? Like I said before, just play with it. try different mountings and see which one you will like the best, after all you will the one listening to them.
Yeah, I would go with a kick pannel. The dash isn't the best place and on top of it 4x6s don't sound the best, IMO. I would go with nothing less that 5.25. loko into the kick pannels, it's a good route to go, it also improves imaging.
I'm not an expert, but if you have 6-8" of space between the speaker and the grill you are losing sound. The main concern there is that you will get poor imaging. I would get a mount to minimize that space. try it an see if it sounds better, which it should, if you don't like put it back the way...
Just for future reference you can run them at 4ohms as well. to get the wattage you need at 4ohms will cost you more money though. I would say orion is a good choice. Well made reliable amps.
