    Cone sound from subwoofer

hmm, how to explain it. I guess it sounds like "airy" at times, like you can hear the subwoofer moving and maybe it's rubbing against something instead of hearing 100% bass...

Hey guys, so I drive a chrysler PT Cruiser and I just put in a Rockford Fosgate P1s412 subwoofer. I'm noticing a "cone" sound, is this anything to be concerned about?

help me properly set up my new system!

alright, so should I set the LPF on my HU to the high setting (157 hz) and the one on the amp to somewhere around 80-100hz to filter out what's sent from the head unit since I can't turn the HU LPf off?

help me properly set up my new system!

hey guys, so I just installed a new amp, speakers and sub and don't know exactly how I should set it up (I'm a noob). I've got a pair of Infinity 6032si in the front doors and a rockford P1s412 in the back, both are powered by a 4 channel 400 watt RE Audio amp. My head unit is the JVC KDHDR60...

    electrical question

hey guys, so I just installed a 400watt amp in my car and am noticing the interior lights and headlights dimming a fairly significant amount. I've heard that doing the big 3 should be enough, keeping me from having to replace an alternator and anything else. Just a few questions about that: 1)...

    car audio noob needs help!

Hey guys, so I just put in a 4 channel amp and subwoofer. The part of the amp that is hooked up to the sub is currently set to LPF. I had it professionally installed and tuned. My only curiosity is that my HU also have a built in LPF, which the installer might not have realized. If I simply...

    setting crossovers

I do like the way it sounds, however I have nothing to compare it to since this is my first system. So could it sound better? Possibly. If I do go ahead and flip the switch from "LPF" to "flat" will I have to reset the gains?

    setting crossovers

hey guys, so I just had a shop install my very first amp and sub in my car, and i'm truly in love! However, I did some research before hand and noticed something when I got the car back. My head unit, the JVC KDHDR60 has a built in LPF from the subwoofer out which can not be turned off, in...

i did only pay $39 for it LOL maybe it's worth that?

    my first setup(opinions please!)

lol greattttt... It's going in a sealed 1.3 cu/ft box. I chose this sub due to the fact that the amp puts out 160 watts RMS bridged and the sub is 150RMS so i figured it's better giving a sub it's full power than going with something more expensive/higher end and not powering it enough (can't...

    my first setup(opinions please!)

hey guys, so just wanted to tell you about my setup (i'm a college student and first time car owner) to see what you all think. I'm pretty broke so I think I definitely got the best value for my money. I put in a JVC KDHDR60 head unit, pair of Infinity 6032si's in the front doors, RE Audio DTS...
