    Looking for sub recommendations

So it seems the JL's are popular hear. Cool. I'll give them serious consideration. It's kinda tough to test out a sub at the store so this helps. Btw, the place that sells JL also sells Focal & Alpine, should I consider any of those? Oh, I just rememberd also have access to Hertz and A/D/S -...

    Looking for sub recommendations

Hey! I need a sub to help out the bottom end. My car is a '97 Prelude, I have Focal polyglass 160 v2 in the front powered off an Alpine PDX 4.150 amp. The rears are stock and I fade the deck forwards cause the rears kinda **** and I prefer a forward sound stage anyway. In fact, the only reason...

PICS! Rainbow SLC 265, Second Skin Door Install

Here's something I've done in the past, and it may seem funny at first: Velcro. Get Velcro strips and attach one side to the back of the amp and the other to the sheet metal/plastic. The adhesive on the Velcro strips is usually pretty strong, and a full strip of Velcro is pretty solid as well...

    My molded a-pillars (pics)

Nice! Btw, just curious, but what kind of car is that? Looks like a Honda, possibly Prelude. Reason I ask is that I'm in the market for speakers and may need to consider this option as well. - Mike

Did Diamond get back to you? And btw, did you pay with PayPal? If so, you may get a refund. - Mike

    Diamond D371i/D372i?

Sounds fishy. According to DiamondAudio's web site, the 371's do have crossovers. So if the 372's (if that's even a valid model number - try contacting Diamond to find out for sure) don't, then there's no way they're "better". Sounds like they're trying to rip you off. Keep us posted. I was...

Best place to ground the amp in the trunk?

The tail lights on my car have a little ground bolt. Could I just piggy-back onto that? Seems like the quick and easy way to do it. - Mike

    Alpine PDX 4.150 any good?

Thanks Jim. Yeah, I understand what the word "digital" means in this case. I know it's not the same as in the home theater world where a "digital" receiver actually does accept and output digital signals. The word digital just means on/off as you said. And as a programmer I think of it as ones...

    Alpine PDX 4.150 any good?

Hey folks! So I'm looking at the Alpine PDX 4.150 amp. It seems to have lots of juice, it's very efficient, it's very small and easy to install and seems to be perfect for my application. However, it's a class D (digital switching) amp and I'm not sure what the low-down on these type of amps...

Can the Alpine 9815 handle 2ohm speakers?

Well, I'm getting new front speakers and an amp, but thought I'd just power the rears off deck. The amp would power the fronts and a sub. I don't want to fill my trunk up with amps so this is a good configuration for me.
