IMPROPER GROUNDING SOMWHERE!!! 90 percent of all whines, whistling, etc. comes from an improper grounding somwhere. Check your batteries, caps, h/u's, and particularly you AMP! I hope this works for you, cuz its an easy fix.

Yea i kno crutchfield is a ripoff... i was just sayin that i saw the h/u in their mag. I like to look at crutchfield's info tho... cuz they have a lot of stuff and i can quickly check specs. Other than that, i go elsewhere lol. But thx for lookin out for me. Yeah, I want at least 4 volt...

Been looking for a h/u and stumbled across in a crutchfield mag the new Sony CDX-F7705X. I know sony kinda blows for car audio... but the specs seem to be great for what it is. Does anyone have one that could share their experience with it? I would greatly appreciate it!

Undoubtedly it will sound better with an external amp - but again, he may be looking for good sound without having to spend an extra coupla hundred bucks just to get a minuscule amount better with SQ. You are right though - SQ will always be better with an external. AJ - See what's out there...
