I have read the manual over and over again and it doesn't say anything about this effect option, that is why I am asking you guys. Trust me I've looked hard in the manual its not in there.
In my eq settings on my kenwood excelon x991 there is a option at the bottom to turn effect on or off. But it doesn't seem to do anything. The eq works the same with it on or off. There is a effect option at the bottom of all 4 bands. I would like to know what this effect is?

I am planning on buying a SSA xcon 15" sub, I would like some opinions, and yes I know its a little pricey, but thats expected when its kind of new. I am looking for something that is really loud, but that also has excellent SQ, and a decent deep bass response.
I'm not planning on achieving 25 hz at 150db I want it to read down to 25hz for when i am testing that low, and I want it to read up to 150db so I have a little headroom for the higher frequency's.
ok, its just that I have read, if you don't have the bp option they can't handle more than 1000rms at all. I like to drive me speakers as hard as they can go without distorting, so I just don't want to wreck it, it is used so there is no warranty.
