    McIntosh MC443M help

That sounds about right, $20 for a McIntosh. It can't be that good of a brand cause nobody has them, right? I mean theres tons of Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony stuff around so that must be the best stuff... Its probably right down around Legacy and Pyle. Thanks for the helpful response...

    McIntosh MC443M help

P.S. Whats an honest estimate about this amp's value right now? I know they are expensive as hell new, but this is not a current model. It was about $1300 new, but I don't know how long ago that was. Do McIntosh's hold their value well since they are such a high end brand???

    McIntosh MC443M help

All right, sweet, I took off the glass top and found the controls, thanks for that. I am still in the dark as to the two channels on the amp, however. Both channels A and B have a set of wire terminals labled positive and negative, do you think that the second set is just for the regular MC443...

    McIntosh MC443M help

Ok, well, I hooked the amp up last night and I have to say I'm kinda dissapointed. Unless I have to take the amp apart to get to the gains, which I highly doubt is the case, this amp is definately not underrated. My current crossfire amp puts out a little more power so I think I'll be keeping...

    McIntosh MC443M help

Also, I forgot to add, there are no gains or crossover settings on this amp. Is that just because it is a monoblock, or is this an old school amp that requires more stuff or special decks to use it properly?

    McIntosh MC443M help

Hi, guys, its been a while since I've been on since my budget has been in the negatives for a while . Anyways, I was just given a McIntosh MC443M amplifier and am excited to get it hooked up. I am confused however, because I can't find a manual online anywhere and although the amp is...

    Components -vs- Coaxles

LOL!! Thanks for the posts, guys, but you're about 2 years too late... I was laughing my ass off when an email came to me about a new reply to a message I didn't remember posting... This was one of my first posts from back in the days of high school, but those are gone now Anyways, I've moved...

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

$240 for the sub - dual 4 ohm coils. i got screwed because since theres a dealer near me, I can't order from the factory. I have to pay like 15-20% more than other people who aren't near a physical RE store. My cap for a sub was $250, so this seemed to be the way to go.

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

The spider is pretty darn stiff. I don't know exactly what to compare its flexibility to, but I would say that it is quite a bit above average. MUCH stiffer than my old Pioneer 12 thats supposed to take 500 rms and 1000 max.

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

Yeah, I don't know, and I'm kind of surprised if this isn't any different than a normal SE that Resonant would even make it for me??? I know that it is 10 times harder to press down on mine that on the regular SE... Wes showed me this in the store - pressing on mine is like in between the...

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

Its from Discount Car Stereo in Kent, WA. The rep's name is Wes, and he really knows his stuff. Gave me an excellent lesson on XBL^2 tech and helped me figure out what my system should contain. I look forward to ordering some of the new components once my funds permit...

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

I don't know what you mean by spider configuration, but it is a thin, black, silky material that you can kind of see through. It only has one layer.

    Box for SE/SX Hybrid

Hmm... Thats not good. All I know is that the guy knows his stuff, is the local RE dealer, and assured me that it could take 1000 watts rms... I hope to god he was right, because I am for sure sending it that much. And what do you think about the box size? I can do any size up to 4 cubes, and...
