Looking to filter out low frequencies

47µf 35V 20% Axial-Lead Electrolytic Capacitor | RadioShack.com These would give me a cutoff of over 800Hz, which I suppose for dash speakers probably wouldn't be terrible. Would these be the right capacitors?

Looking to filter out low frequencies

If I can't find a 66.25uF, can I run multiple capacitors together? I'm kind of new to this external crossover type stuff. And if so, would I just solder the two capacitors together? Or would I run one on each terminal of the speaker? Please help. Thanks,

Looking to filter out low frequencies

My radio does have high pass filter on it. However, I've got a set of small 4x6" speakers in the dash of my s10 I just picked up, that I don't want hardly any bass frequencies going to. Therefore, the reasoning behind wanting a 600hz high pass on those speakers.

Looking to filter out low frequencies

Yes, I do believe so. But rather than spending the $10 on those Bass Blocker thingamajigs, which are no more than an in-line resistor and wire, I figured I'd make my own from resistors I can buy at my local RadioShack.

Looking to filter out low frequencies

Hello, I've tried searching, and I've found the calculation on how to figure out what size capacitor I need to filter out frequencies. I'm looking to filter out frequencies lower than 600hz on a set of 4ohm 4x6 speakers I have installed in my 2001 S10. However, the result I am getting is...

Nobody? I want to know if an amp pushing about 2,700 RMS will only require a 240amp alt and two batteries. Anyone have any advice?

So, I'm thinking I'll go with two Sundown X-15 d-2 and an Alpine MRX-M240 amp? That should throw about 1,300 watts to each of those subs... I think that would be better? Then I could probably get away with a 240amp alternator and only one extra battery?

Lol doubtful. At least not in my town. There's a total of 1,200 people that live here. I know everyone, and everyone knows me. People in this town surprisingly respect one another.

it's loud, it shakes my neighbors inside of their house. I get text messages from the daughter all the time "so my couch is vibrating, so I look outside and there you go by the house"

I've got it wired at 0.75 ohm, in a JL specd 2.375ft^3 box tuned at 34.59hz

Also, I'm looking at sundowns enclosure diagram they have on their site for two 15s. that comes out to be a combined 10 ft^3??? Does it REALLY have to be that big???

Mechman makes a 320amp... that'll be enough to charge the truck running at 5,000K watts? The electrical is my biggest concern. I hate dimming lights, and on the JL I'm running more, people tell me my tail lights look like hazards when I'm bumpin the bass.

Alright, I wasn't sure if the 8 would be a bad decision or not, sounds like it is, thanks for the help on that! I'd prefer to go with 15's just because the overall surface area would be more than the equivalent of three 12's... but how big of a box do those 15's take? And what do you mean by...

Alright, need some honest opinions here...

Alright, so I finally got my 13W7 and Orion 1200D hooked up. I love it. However, I've wanted more since I heard it. Yes it is loud, yes it hits decently... but I know that I want more... Here's what I'm thinking... Going to run dual batteries, dual Mechman alts, two runs of 1/0 power and...

    Perhaps an unusual question...

I'm not as dumb as you think. I turned my radio to my max volume preferred level (about 60% of full volume), and had the gain down because the ******* sub hasn't been used for eight years. I know what clipping is, I'm trying to fix that issue right now on my srt4 with my Type R 8s. i adjusted...
