To do an external fuel system the correct way, your better off just buying the intank replacement pump. You should be able just to get the pump itself and not the entire unit in the aftermarket. The OEM will sell you a complete unit. Make sure to get a new filter sock to go on the new pump...

You need the battery tested. A battery can still show 12 volts, but only have 5 CCA's. The battery needs LOAD tested, not DMM tested. Don't pop the little caps off, because your battery doesn't have them. Its a sealed battery. And OEM batteries will last longer than a year. More along the likes...

Hope you have a good tuner, and plenty of gaskets. If you are planning for the 500 whp mark, you are going to have to run lower compression anyway. Might as well drop in the complete unit. Good luck though.
