My current box is now subs up, port up. 13 cube after all displacement tuned to 32 hz with 180 inches of port. This sounds the best for me thus far. I do have my whole truck deadened good. At full tilt on heavy bass songs I can start to hear my roof which I don't like.

Don't worry about the haters man. Looks great thus far. Good job on adding the chafing gear to wires running through metal holes. A simple step often overlooked that makes me cringe!

Is it possible to put a remote mounted gain knob on HD series Taramps? Such as the DC version I currently have. I searched but did not find....

I would say ANY pair of 18s but don't want to go too crazy......even though I did but a pair of ultras.

Ok I have a pair of LMS ultras in 12.5 cft tuned to 32 HZ with 180 inches of port. Very stout solid box. Doubled all the way around, lots of bracing, everything rounded. pair of DC 2ks strapped. Good electrical, never drops below 14v. Sounds incredible with rock,rap, does not matter, sounds...

So 2.8 being normal, is my 2 flat reading abnormal?

I have a pair of the LMS ultras. Been playing them about 10 months. I just built a new enclosure for them. I checked my coils before installing them again. All four read exactly 2.0 Ohms. When I measured mine I put my VM leads under push terminals. took about a minute for the Ohms to settle...

I just know how things tend to loosen with heat then cool, or over time with road vibrations and low Hz. I assume that a standard bent allen key will fit to give a little reach around every once in a while......

I suppose. Am I over reacting about the possible loose connection thing?

Got into and decided to abort. Would be worth it to me for one amp but I have three to do. Not worth the time for something that very few will ever see. Will be a good test of my part time OCD!

I don't mind the work. I am not into the upside thing, major reason is I like to occasionally check and retighten my connections. Loose connections ruin so many things.......
