i tried that once and the bass was soft, i know it because the amp is a low class amp. Ok so what amp do you recommend for my subs, i was thinking on the JBL GTO14001 but its a A/B Class so its might not be good, i need a amp thats 1000-1200rms at 4ohms x 1 channel

It is rated the same way but theres no way to connect these subs like that, i checked the manual and 2 4ohm subs cant be connect so that 1 amp gives it 2ohm ok so if this amp is no good, would you say that i should get the JBL GTO-14001 thats 1200rms at 4ohms x 1channel?

hmm? How could it not, i understand its not a high class amp but ti should at least work fine with the subs, or your saying that if i do set it up the way i want to, this amp will not do anything at all to it?

Yeah you are giving each sub 250 rms each, since it s 500 at 1 channel 4ohm. Also these subs work in a ported box not sealed. Get a jbl gto1400.1 or some amp that at 4ohms gives off 1000-1200 rms so that each sub receives 500-600rms.

and you said i should get a better precise amp, would a JBL GTO140001 be perfect? Its 1200w at 4ohms. but im not sure if its a bit over rated, now if it like 50w over does it matter when my subs are 600rms max?

perfect thanks, now for the input sensitivity, what am i looking for specifically so i can set it......or could i just keep adding bit by bit to get it to where it needs to be? Just as extra info: i have a pioneer DEH-3800MP, it has different settings for low med and high bass.

What ya mean exactly, that i will have to get the subs at 4ohms each and that will set the amp to do 2ohms 1100?

no its not 1ohm stable just 4 and 2

but yeah there 4 ohms dual, now ok the amp says 2 ohms at 1100, thats what i think is the best if my subs are 600rms max and i have 2 of them. Now doing it parallel is the best way to achieve this 2ohm setting on the amp?
