Once you go FLAC, and you have your hardware configured to take full advantage of the improved sound quality, you won't want to listen to any other file type. Everything else will sound watered down & like it's being dragged in the mud. I stopped listening to my 10k MP3 collection days...

Watched the video on YouTube without any issues & the same with Tidal's HiFi (FLAC) version. No crackling.

I'm in a similar boat & I'm considering these options... The Polk MM6501's The PPI 900.4 4 CH Amp has good reviews & seems to be quite a bargain at $170 (small footprint).

I'm looking at the 8" / 150w (incl. amp) Kicker Hideaway for a '16 Pilot. Overall, it seems to have good reviews. Kicker site Alpine also has the PWE-S8 Sonic Electronix has one left in stock.

Great suggestions. I got to thinking about the project & I think the MM6501's would work well for my system. I ditched the center channel & simplified the configuration. Besides, the 2015 Pilot has 6.5" slots in the rear, not 6x9, so it makes sense.
