Where do i get a 0 db 50 hz sound clip? And yea I was assuming clipping was the reason the sub burnt out so I was wondering if it had to do with my amp being at 1 ohm, it says its 1 ohm stable but would it be safer to run at 2 ohms? or is it just a problem with gains?

The subs i had were only slightly overrated, they had a rating of 375 RMS each and the amp was putting out 700 RMS at 1 ohms.

I have a DMM and i dont find any lights dimming very much, only when its up close to max and only on really hard bass notes, and even then its not very noticeable. I also have a 2 Farahd cap hooked up.

Its all installed in a 2007 Civic DX, not sure about alt rating, there is also a 2 farahd cap hooked up however, thought that helped with the drop.

Is there any way I can tell that the internal voice coil is shorted? Or can you only find out by eliminating the fact that the wiring is shorting? Also will it be safe to run only 1 sub off that amp until i have everything figured out or would that be dangerous for that sub?
