i'm about to tackle the job of putting in a simple single DIN headunit into my girlfriends 1999 BMW z3 convertible. Needed to know if there would be any complications I would run into. Never put one into a BMW before.

The amp only goes to over current when i play 1 specific song. I just realized that today. Perhaps the song is going so low it makes the ohm load go below 1?

I barely have my gain turned up at all from the lowest position (6v). The amp is 1 ohm stable and the sub is wired to 1 ohm. I ran it all day today and the light didn't come on. If it begins to come on frequently i'll address it again. Thanks for the help.

ive got 4 gauge ground and 4 gauge power. I thought the ground was supposed to be equal to or bigger than the power. I guess i could find a better place to ground it.

My Q comes with a rubber gasket with holes in it around the outside of the sub but it looks like there arent any holes in the outer part of the sub to show u where to put the screws. There are however holes in the metal on the underside. Should i line up the gasket holes with the holes on the...

I'm looking to get a 12 inch Fi Q. If i get a dual 2 ohm will i be able to wire it to 1 ohm?

need something comparable to a Type-X. Need something that will take 1000 watts at 1 ohm and has very good SQ. I've been away from the car audio market for a while so someone please help me out. I'm looking to spend up to $400. 12" or 15" is good it doesn't matter to me.

I feel like an idiot for asking this but do the type-x 12s come in dual 2 ohm or only dual 4 ohm? I had my heart set on buying one but i need one with dual 2 ohm and can't seem to find one anywhere.
