by pass your HU and hook up a ipod or what ever directly to your amp using a rca to headphone jack. this will tell you if its your head unit or not.

SEM makes all kinds of great products, and cheap if you know where to look.

there's lots of good info on here if you do a search it really all depends on the output. I use 10 gauge from my 4 channel amp to my crossovers / 12 to the speakers, and 8 gauge from my mono amp to my subs. 16 gauge to my relays/fans/remote.

I used a high build primer, than texture coat, than top coat. I don't have access to a paint shop, or paint tools, so I used SEM aerosol paint, its by far the best stuff you can buy, Its super durable, and does not "rub off" LOL

ya, and from what I remember, there really is not that much room. what gauge wire are you running, you may have to run it under the carpet.
